Introduction Cool Cities

In this semester, in the 174 course we are doing a project called Cool Cities. In this project we will research and discuss many ideas related to this topic such as critical thinking, an inconvenient truth, Carbon Emissions and Carbon Footprint, One Planet Living & Cool Cities, Abu Dhabi Development, Abu Dhabi - A Cool City: Masdar and Who Should Take Action? These projects will help us to improve our knowledge and skills and develop to a high level of thinking. Critical thinking is an amazing idea. It is one of the human abilities that people ignore it and don't know how to use it. The problems of the world which are shown in the an inconvenient truth, the movie that discusses the changes in the earth presented by Al Gore the president of America eight years ago. Carbon Emissions and Carbon Footprint is an old problem which develops year by year. Scientists nowadays are work hard to search for solutions to solve those problems and prevent it. One Planet Living & Cool Cities, Abu Dhabi Development, Abu Dhabi - A Cool City: Masdar. This project explains how Abu Dhabi working hard to be one of the famous cities in the world and how the cities should be build in the future to less en the pollution. The changes of the climate and the problems which face the plant are discussed by Johann Hari in Who Should Take Action?

An Inconvenient Truth

In the world there are many changes that the human can't feel. For example ozone bore, sea pollution and continent moving etc. In An Inconvenient Truth movie Mr. Al Gore voice "the president of America eight years ago" discusses those changes and refers to the world issue which is called "Global Warming"

Al Gore indicates that the earth is confronting dangerous mutations because of the Global warming. One of those dangers the melting of the glaciers around the world which 40% of people on earth gets their drinking water from it. Another thing is that the consequences of the ocean temperature rising which cause stronger tornadoes. Also the collapse of building and roads built on permafrost. In addition, those changes in ecological niches and the growing population which get higher year by year.

In conclusion, the warming is an important issue which has positive and negative effect, so the world must give some responsibilities. In my opinion those problems can't be solved until the people all over the world appreciate this mystery puzzle.

My Reaction

It is an interesting movie it is discuss the problems around the Earth explains an enormous change in the earth. Mr. Al Gore the actor of the film discusses some unexpected problems of the world which cause changes every year in the earth because of people ignoring. After watching the movie I learned many different things and I understand what the global warming means and what happened around me. This movie sends massage to the world to make them attention the Earth problems and attracting them to found a solutions to survive.
